Last week, Gov. Nathan Deal passed an executive order lifting the temporary ban on lighting fireworks in the state of Georgia.
Deal stated:
The insurance and safety fire commissioner has determined that increased precipitation in recent weeks has diminished the threat posed by consumer fireworks and has requested the prohibition against the ignition of consumer fireworks be lifted.
While this is great news for those wanting to bring in 2017 with a bang, surprisingly, many Georgians still do not know that fireworks are legal in their state.
A year and a half ago (July 1, 2015), fireworks were made legal in Georgia, but since you cannot buy them on every street corner, many residents are still in the dark. This is because Georgia General Assembly House Bill 727 places very strict limitations on who can sell fireworks.
With 10 Georgia locations, Jake’s Fireworks is very proud to be one of the few retailers who can sell the full line of class C consumer fireworks including: aerial multi-shot cakes, artillery shells, rockets, missiles and much more.
You still have time to get your fireworks before the new year. Come see us now!
